SUMMARY:Bowler Hat Farmer Talk Saturday 7th June
DESCRIPTION:Fork The System: A Talk by Mark Byford\, the Bowler Hat Farmer on Saturday 7th June at HOPE Sussex\nJoin us at HOPE for an eye-opening talk with Mark Byford on his Fork The System UK Tour\, discussing why we need to support our farmers or risk losing them forever and he will be bringing his tour to HOPE! \nWith over 40 years of farming experience\, Mark has seen firsthand the alarming decline of our food system. From plummeting food quality to the increasing pressure on farmers\, his message is clear: we must act now to support those who grow our food or risk losing them forever. \nDriven by a deep sense of responsibility for future generations\, Mark is travelling the country to raise awareness\, share hard truths\, and ignite change. This is not just a talk\, it’s a wake-up call. \nDoors open: 1:00pm (for a healthy organic lunch in the Hub – cash only)\nTalk begins: 2:30pm\nTickets:\n£8 for HOPE Members\n£10 for Non-Members \nCome\, connect\, and be part of the movement to reclaim our food and our future. \nAbout Mark\nFor the past 40 years\, I’ve witnessed the steady decline of our food supply chain\, both locally and globally. Food quality has plummeted\, and education about what we eat has been stripped away. \nMeanwhile\, farmers\, growers\, and producers are constantly burdened with distractions\, keeping them too busy to fight back as they’re pushed to the brink. \nNow\, as we enter 2025\, I feel a deep responsibility to protect my children and grandchildren from this broken system. It’s time to take a stand.\nThat’s why I’m hitting the road on my Fork The System tour—to share my knowledge\, raise awareness\, and connect with those who see the bigger picture.” \nAbout the Tour\n“People often ask me\, “Mark\, why\, at 57 years old\, would you want to go out on a UK tour?” \nThe answer is simple. Every day I witness the ongoing destruction of our food supply chain—both locally and globally. \nWe are at a critical turning point. If we don’t take a stand now\, in just 18 months\, we may reach the point of no return. \nIf we do nothing—and by we\, I mean all of us — our children and grandchildren could be left with nothing to eat. At best\, they’ll be forced to survive on lab-grown meat or maggots. At worst\, there will be nothing at all.” Mark Byford \nConnect with Mark thebowlerhatfarmer.com (https://thebowlerhatfarmer.com/)
