Tania Edwards is a stand up comedian who was a finalist in the Hackney Empire, Amused Moose, Leicester Square, Latitude and Funny Women competitions.
After winning the Amused Moose Comedy Award for best show at the Edinburgh Festival, which led to a run at London’s Soho Theatre, her jokes were selected as Best of the Edinburgh Festival in The Evening Standard, The Telegraph and The Mirror.
Regularly appearing at major comedy clubs across the country, Tania’s jokes have featured on a number of topical comedy shows including Mock the Week (BBC Two), Stand Up For The Week (Channel 4), Twit of the Year (Channel 4) and The Unbelievable Truth (BBC Radio 4).
“outrageous humour… Tania Edwards has mastered her craft” Ed Fest Mag
“brilliantly dark jokes” Voice
“sharp and savage wit” The Sunday Post
“effortless comic genius” Funny Women
Aidan Killian is a spirited, charismatic and passionate comedian who left a corporate banking job to save the world, one endorphin at a time. He has performed his unique comedy style for 7 Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and was a ‘highlight’ at Glastonbury Festival 2016 and 2017. In 2017 he was nominated for Best Comedian at The World Fringe and has been sharing laughter on stages all over the world since.
“hysterical, passionate, driven intelligence” – Chortle
“Killian is a comedian of equivalent talent to Tiernan, but a generation behind. He speaks fluidly to those who have awoken and crossed the line that separates the Matrix from reality” – John Waters
Funny man Trevor John is a firm favourite at HOPE and first took the mic at HOPE’s Comedy Night in February 2024.
Wordsmith and singer songwriter Trevor John has taken many twists and turns. He has had a shop on Carnaby Street, a publishing company, worked as a copywriter, voice artist, animator and is an award winning short film composer.
As an illustrator he has worked for many major publishers and brands including BBC, Saachi & Saachi and Sainsburys. His drawings for M&S Nightwear outsold Disney and made it onto Eastenders. After a few years working with Kraft and Aardman creating the Dairylea Cow, the corporate world was losing its appeal and he took a sabbatical, picked up his neglected guitar and spent two years in his garden learning every song he ever loved, found a beautifully eccentric Irish diva of a vocal coach and began performing as a singer songwriter. His work can be raw and emotional or sharp and satirical. Sometimes both. His love of words is always evident.
“The last few years, with the eye opening revelations of the hypnotism we have all been living through, have provided plenty of material. It’s still a journey. Sometimes angry and political, but increasingly towards connection, healing, nature and the spiritual” Trevor John
Trevor will be performing his music on the night too.
