English KS1

This unit will start with the basics of reading and go over every phonics sound so that we can practice them all every week. Then we will spend 10 minutes on our handwriting and working through the High Frequency words to help with our reading and writing. Then I will be teaching the basics of writing sentences and we will be learning the word classes for nouns, verbs etc and what makes a sentence correct. We will cover basic punctuation and there will be writing and reading homework each week. It will be fun and we will be learning loads!
