GCSE English Literature 

The GCSE English Literature two-year course has been designed by me to inspire, challenge and motivate every young person, no matter what their level of ability, through creative and engaging lessons on some of the greatest works of literature ever written. The chosen texts for this class will be as follows:-

Shakespeare - Romeo and Juliet.
19th century novel - Dickens - A Christmas Carol
Modern texts - Shelagh Delaney - A Taste of Honey
Poetry - AQA Anthology - Power and Conflict
Unseen Poetry

I will take a skills based approach to the study of English Literature that is consistent across the genres. The specification is also co-teachable with the GCSE English Language and students will benefit greatly
