Wild Kin Monthly Forest School with Vanessa Thursday 15th May 2025, 10am – 2pm at HOPE Sussex Community.

Join us for a nourishing day in the woods where children can truly thrive. Surrounded by fresh air, birdsong and the ever changing beauty of the natural world, Forest School nurtures the whole child; body, mind and spirit. It’s a space where young ones are free to explore, get their hands in the earth, take healthy risks and follow their natural curiosity.

This nature led experience builds deep rooted confidence, encourages resilience, sparks creativity and cultivates a powerful sense of self and belonging. Children also develop life enhancing skills such as problem solving, teamwork, communication and emotional intelligence, all while simply playing and connecting outdoors.

Activities include:

Child Led Learning – Children follow their interests and make their own discoveries, building independence and intrinsic motivation.

Den Building – Hands on creativity and collaboration, learning about structure, shelter and the joy of creating with nature.

Outdoor Learning & Fun – Education comes alive outside the classroom, engaging all the senses and nurturing a deep love for the Earth.

Campfire & Songs – Gather around the fire to share stories, songs, warmth and connection.

Woodland Crafts & Games – From nature art to traditional games, children learn through play and imagination.

Whittling & Tool Use – Guided tool work develops fine motor skills, patience and a sense of responsibility.

Time: 10am – 2pm

Ages: 5–12

Ages 7+ can be dropped off

Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult

£25 per child

£20 for siblings
